Youth Team Challenge Entry Form (pdf)
Walking and Shorn Fleece Form
2 oz. Fiber Sample Form (pdf) - must be postmarked by Jan. 31.
Handmades Derby Entry Form (pdf)
In addition to 'Champion Bred and Owned" males and females, we'll be reviving 'Best In Show' this year.
In 2007, there were 365+ alpacas entered in the Virginia Classic (compared to 200+ llamas). We are issuing a challenge to the llama community to match the alpaca entries. If a minimum of 350 llamas are entered in the Virginia Classic in 2008, we will award $1,000 to the Best In Show. Spread the word and bring your friends!
This year the futurity will be offering separate classes for suris and non-suris. Open to llamas ages 5 to 18 months. Ages will be combined.
Llama Future Entry Form (pdf)
The American Miniature Llama Associateion (AMLA) will be holding a membership meeting at the Virginia Classic tentatively scheduled for the evening of Friday, March 14 in the Mezzanine.
Argentine Division
This year we've put Argentine back in the line up. Open to all llamas with at least 50% Argentine and/or Rebano Escondido bloodlines. Your ILR registration will act as proof. If there are fewer that eight entries per sex, the division will be combined with the medium and heavy divisions.
Open Performance
The restriction of one division per llama is lifted this year. Youth llamas may also be shown in Advanced or Novice. Additional entry fees may apply.
East Coast Invitational Championship Show
This the working title of a work in progress. Keep an eye out for more details. Tentatively planned for this fall, top placers in East Coast shows will be invited to participate. The two day event will be an additional qualifying show on the first and a championship show on second. An awards dinner in between will likely be planned. Stay tuned
