We're Expanding Our Fleece Show
Llama & Alpaca 2 oz. Fiber Samples: Open to both llamas and alpacas. The samples are to be mailed in for judging. As part of the judging criteria, a small sample of your fiber will be spun by the judge
Full Fleece: Open to both llamas and alpacas. Bring in your skirted full fleeces to be judged at the show. Llama classes will be ALSA-sanctioned.
Walking Fleece: Open to all llamas and will be ALSA-sanctioned. Judging will be done on the llama and 100% on fiber. This is not a halter class. A judging station will be set up and you are to bring your animals for evaluation within a designated judging period.
Alpaca Walking Fleece Fiber Futurity: Open to all alpacas 6 to 18 months with restrictions on the number of entries. Classes will be divided by color and breed and will be judged 100% on fiber ON the alpaca. Evaluation will be done in conjuction with the Walking Fleece competition.
Virginia Classic Handmades Derby: An open Fiber Arts show. Hand-spun skeins, knitting, weaving, crochetting and felting using llama and/or alpaca fiber.
