March 9-10: The 19th Annual Virginia Classic Llama and Alpaca Show, Lexington, Virginia. ILR-sanctioned Llama Show. Judges: John McDougall, Niki Kuklenski and Terese Evenson. AOBA-certified Level III Alpaca Show. Judge: Tim Lavan.Full complement of halter and performance classes in addition to our annual Handmades Derby. We’re also offering walking fleece and a llama futurity. The “Sibling Rivalry” challenge is on. Over 500 hundred of the finest alpacas in the country will be competing for awards. May 18-19: The COLA 25th Annual Festival, Prineville, Oregon. Held at the Crook County Fairgrounds. Our judges are Phil Feiner, halter and performance, and Maryan Baker, halter and fleece. Jenni Jimmerson will judge fleece also. It will be a double point show for halter. Performance and fleece judging will be on Saturday with halter on Sunday. There will Best of Show awards for the Champion Male and Champion Female under each judge, and for Fleece On, Shorn Fleece, and Fleece Products. June 22-23: Fifth Annual Jinglebells Extravaganza Llama Show, Oympia, Washington. Held at the Thurston County Fairgrounds (less than ten minutes off the I-5 corridor). Our fun and organized group of Northwestern Regional llama owners are hosting the event. As in the past we will have many fun and creative ideas and have added some more to bring the FUN into showing! This includes a decorating contest for ranches, door prizes, table auctions, and innovative prizes to help get the Excitement & Energy back into showing. Please take advantage of this theme and buy your decorations, outfits etc. during the holiday season! We make it reasonable for YOU to attend. We will continue to offer a double point halter, performance, fleece-on, bagged fleece and more in our show. There will be camping options available and the Super 8 in Lacey, Wash. is close by the fairgrounds.
